#04: Morgenstern’s Finest Ice Cream

In honor of #TBT, we’re gonna bring it back to when Morgenstern’s collaborated with DBGB Kitchen & Bar to create the “Crac en Bouche”. We arrived at Morgenstern’s at around 9 pm on a week night, it might’ve been a Tuesday. To no surprise, a pretty long line (as per usual) went down the block. After waiting for about an hour, and yes, we thought about aborting the mission several times, we finally made it inside. We already knew that we wanted the “Crac en Bouche” special, and decided to sandwich it between “Edible Schoolyard Mint Chip” and “Black Coconut Ash”. It’s hard to compare each of the flavors, as all are truly unique. Their “Edible Schoolyard Mint Chip” is refreshing AF, with little chunks of frozen mint leaves in every other bite. The “Black Coconut Ash” has been trending across timelines for a few weeks now, and lives up to the hype with a super rich coconut flavor. Now what we came for, the special “Crac en Bouche” which is a praline-infused ice cream with bits of nougatine. It’s hard to pick a “best” as all were extra creamy and flavorful, like a firm, soft serve – if that makes any sense? To say the least, it was definitely worth the wait!
